Born in Athens, Giorgos Bournazakis studied painting at the Shool of Fine Arts (1971-1977) with Giorgos Mavroidis.  He had his first one-man show in Athens (1978).  Other solo and group exhibitions followed.  He had taught painting at Technical Educational Institutes and his preparatory workshop for the School of Fine Arts until 1989.  His work is characterized by a distinct and intense expressionism.  Giorgos Bournazakis pssed away in Atrhens (2023).
