Born in Athens, Marilitsa Vlachaki studied painting at the School of Fine Arts (1979-1986) with Yiorgos Mavroidis, Yannis Moralis and Dimitris Mitaras.  She had her first solo exhibition in Athens (1987) and has shown her work in a series of other one-woman and group exhibitions.  Her work reflects a symbolic expressionism.  She lives and works in Athens.
