  EDOUARD SACAILLAN (1957)

Born at Thessalonica, Edouard Sacaillan studied at the School of Fine Arts, Athens (1976-1981) with Dimitris Mitaras and Yannis Moralis.  With a scholarship he continued his studies at the École Nationale des Beaux Arts (1984-1987), with Leonardo Cremonini.  He had his first solo exhibition in Athens (1983).  Other one-man and group shows followed both in Greece and abroad.  In 1992 he was awarded in Paris with the Lefranc - Bourgeois Prize.  His work is anthropocentric in the frame of objectivity with expressionist characteristics.  He lives and works in Athens.
