YANNIS
PAPANELOPOULOS (1936)
Born in Athens,
Yannis Papanelopoulos studied at the
School of Fine Arts (1954-1957) with Yannis Moralis and
Yannis
Kefallinos. He later continued at the Open Workshop of Fine Arts
(Vakalo School) with Panayotis Tetsis (1960-1963). He had his
first one-man exhibition in Athens (1975). However, since
1969 he
has participated to group shows in Greece and abroad. In the
frame of new realism, at his work dominates an expressionist writing,
where the human being and his environment are paramount. He
lives
and works in Athens.
