Born in Larissa (Thessaly), Tassos Missouras started his studies at the School of Fine Arts, Athens (1981-1986) with Yannis Moralis and Dimitris Mitaras and continued in Paris (1987-1991) at the École des Beaux Arts with Leonardo Cremonini.  He had his first one-man show in Athens (1991), while he had participated in group exhibitions already since 1985.  Other solo and group shows followed both in Greece and abroad. His expressionist style in combination with a symbolic and metaphysic dimension he gives to his work are the main characteristics of his painting. He lives and works in Athens.
