MICHALIS MANOUSSAKIS (1953)

Born at Chania (Crete), Michalis Manoussakis studied at the School of Fine Arts, Athens (1979-1984) with Dimitris Mitaras and Dimosthenis Kokinidis.  He had his first one-man exhibition in Thessalonica (1979).  Other solo and group shows followed both in Greece and abroad.  Since 1987 he teaches at the workshop of Dimosthenis Kokinidis.  Starting point for his existential and metaphysic search is the expressionist character of his work.  He lives and works in Athens.
