Born in Athens, Tassos Mantzavinos studied painting at the School of Fine Arts until 1984.  He had his first one-man exhibition in Athens that same year.  He has shown his work in other solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad as well.  In his work he shows a personal style which originates from an expressionist writing.  He lives and works in Athens.
