Nicos Angelidis was born in Athens.  He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts from 1977 to 1982 under Panayotis Tetsis.  Concurrently, he was taught by Constantine Xynopoulos fresco and icon painting.  He hold his first one-man exhibition in Athens (1988).  Other followed both in Greece and abroad.  He has illustrated literary books as well.  He worked as a high school teacher.  Romantic with a pre-Rafaelian touch, his work is dominated by the female figure.  He lives and works in Athens.
