 PAVLOS SAMIOS (1948)

Born in Athens, Pavlos Samios studied at the School of Fine Arts with Nicos Nicolaou and Yannis Moralis.  He had his first one-man show in Athens (1978).  He has presented his work in many solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.  He is teaching in the School of Fine Arts at the workshop for Byzantine traditional painting.  Initially surrealist, his work developed in the frame of descriptive painting with a strong personal style.  From 1978 to 1992 he had settled in Paris.  Actually, he lives and works in Athens and Aegina.
