  LISA MERLIN-VASSILATOU (1939)

Born in Athens, Lisa Merlin-Vassilatou studied history of art with Elli Giotopoulou - Sissilianou and interior design at the Applied Technology Center (1973-1975).  She took painting lessons with Thodoros Drossos (1980-1983) and Thanassis Stephopoulos (1986-1992).  She had her first one-woman exhibition in Athens (1993).  Other solo and group shows followed in Athens and Cephalonia.  Her work discloses an abstract expressionist touch, where the colour strength is paramount.  She lives and works in Athens and Cephalonia.
