  MICHALIS GEORGAS (1947)

Born at the Island of Symi (Dodecanese), Michalis Georgas is a self-taught painter.  He had his first one-man exhibition in Athens (1969) and has presented his work in solo and group shows in Greece and abroad.  Hyperrealist and symbolic his work communicates the metaphysic texture of the Byzantine iconography, whose techniques he embraces.  He lives and works in Athens.
